Once in a blue moon, you get to play a gig that doesn’t involve hours of driving home after packing up. Last Wednesday was just such a night.
Domaine de la Fauconnie is new to me and the band. But it’s absolutely perfect, in so many ways.
Ceremony, cocktails and party
I was there all day, playing for the service (including singalong), then for cocktails in a building near the pool (not pictured below). At this point, the band showed up and we set up for the evening party in the Orangery, which has… AIR CONDITIONING!
We’ve had a longish period of very hot weather, and the chance to spend some time in the cool, in a glass building surrounded by trees, was absolute bliss.
And the food! Exceptional!
Here are a few snaps I took on my cheap mobile phone (hence the low quality).
Thank you, again, to Adam and Juliette for having me and SouthWest to provide the backing for your Big Day. We wish you all the very best for a long and happy life together!
