After the last gig, I was going to take a week off, to rest my hands.
But then, someone I played with in London DECADES ago (my emphasis), asked if I was available to play a gig on July 9th – this year – in England – for a well-established Rolling Stones tribute act called The Stones.
The cost of flights (even with carbon offsetting) was very affordable. So I said yes, and spent a few days learning the set. Here’s a gallery of shots I took on the day. It was massive fun. Everyone in the band is lovely. And yes, I would do the whole thing again…

As I was queueing for passport control, back in France, my phone rang. Was I available for a gig that day, starting at 8.00pm?
Of course, I said yes. Here I am at the end of the evening, hours further north, outside my first not-wedding at Chateau de la Couronne. This is not my car, but it does fit the story…
