It was “perfect”

Rain stopped playing outside – but it was still perfect

Last Saturday, I returned to Chateau de la Couronne for the first time since Covid.

When I’m there, I usually set up in the garden. But this time, April showers said, “No”. Which meant I got to play the baby grand piano again! (Even when you have the best digital piano in the world, nothing beats the feel of an acoustic.)

I was only playing for the ceremony, this time, and was asked to play some Ed Sheeran for the processional (bride’s entrance). Also featuring in the set list were Elton John, David Bowie, JS Bach (or his wife – the jury’s still out on this one) and Yann Tiersen. With some Madness thrown in at confetti time.

A couple of days ago, I received this email from the very happy couple:

Thank you so much for Saturday it was perfect!

Love Katie and Luke

I don’t think they were referring to the Ed Sheeran song. That was “Perfect” with a capital “P”.

Thank you, again, Katie and Luke – finally married after waiting patiently for the last few years!
